VW Camper Van Front Wheel Arches
Major areas for concern on all VW Campers are the front wheel arches and inside the front wheel arch itself.
The Front arches are extremely prone to rotting away. A huge problem with this is that over the years these get budged up and people end up either filling them or sticking a cheap outer repair panel on them. These are awful and very simply hide the rust and rot underneath.
If you are considering buy a Camper van make sure it has had complete front wheel arches fitted. If your van need front arches there are two choices.
1. A replacement entire front arch
2. A Genuine VW entire front arch
If you want to spend a couple of days to fitting the arch then buy the replacement. If you need it to fit and be of a decent quality buy the genuine arch. These are a bit more expensive but will save you hour and hours of labor guaranteed.

Buying an Imported VW Camper Van From Europe.
I have found that if your interested in buying a VW Camper particularly the T25 version, buying one from Europe will not only save you £ but you a lot more likely to get a much better van for your money. Or if you don't fancy importing one yourself (which is a lot less hassle than it seems) buy a van that has newly imported and NOT messed with.
If you want to buy a Camper van in Europe yourself either try the relative eBay site i.e. ebay.de for Germany or much better start searching Google for VW Transporters for sale in Munich ETC you'll be amazed at how many there are. Flights are now so cheap with companies like ryanair and easy jet it will probably only cost around £50 mark to get there. You will find the majority Europeans will be happy to meet your at the airport.
Then have an unhurried drive back. Clearly that's a very simplistic look at it but it is very easily done. There are now 3+ businesses set up specially doing this so if you don't fancy driving seek ones of these out and buy a readily imported one.
